La Musique de Louisianne Inc. received stamped final approval from the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in early 2007, and has received signed approval from Jay Dardenne, Louisiana Secretary Of State to use the name and to dba "The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame". All gifts and donations to The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame are tax deductible.
The mission of the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame is to educate and enlighten the citizens of Louisiana, the United States and the world to the incredible musical heritage of our Artists, Writers, Musicians and Industry talented people who made Louisiana's music the best in the world for decades.
Louisiana is the cradle of the Blues and the birthplace of Jazz, Dixieland, Rhythm & Blues, Rockabilly, Rock & Roll and Zydeco.
Louisiana's musical heritage is second to none in quality and scope.
This web site is the front end for the dissemmination and distribution of information for and about the legendary artists and musicians of Louisiana. Currently we present thousands of photos, memorabalia and videos from and about our Inductees in our GALLERIES MUSIQUE. Soon we will begin adding educational and historically accurate audio and video pods and downloads from and about our inductees.
All information gathered and created by The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame is shared, by agreement, with the Louisiana State Archives.
Our goal; to celebrate & remember our Artists and Musicians and, by doing so, regain lost prominence in the music community. Louisiana's food is well known and honored; our music is just as impressive and just as important. It also deserves to be returned to its rightful place.
